Six things I get called for.

Two halves of one job. I build the software, and I install the systems it runs on — for businesses and for households.

  1. Networking & Wi-Fi

    The floor stays up, the guest network stays out of the till.

    Networks that hold up under real load. Retail floors, offices, restaurants, and multi-story homes — access point placement and coverage surveys, structured wiring, VLANs that keep point-of-sale and cameras off the guest network, static IPs, failover internet, and modem/ISP configuration. Including cutting through carrier plans so you're not paying for speed you can't use.

  2. Smart Home & Smart Building

    One system, not five apps — at home and at the storefront.

    Automation for houses and for commercial spaces. Lighting schedules, door access and locks, cameras, climate, and sensors — installed and configured so they work together instead of living in five different apps. Storefronts get the same treatment: open/close routines, after-hours alerts, and controls your staff can actually use.

  3. Servers, Storage & Backups

    On-site servers, NAS and file storage, media servers, remote access, backups, and self-hosted services. Set up properly, secured, and documented so it keeps running after I leave.

    Making two things talk to each other. Point-of-sale systems, receipt printers, payment tools, inventory spreadsheets, APIs, and smart devices — software to software, hardware to software. If your staff is retyping data from one system into another, that's the problem I solve.

One person, start to finish.

Mechanical Software is run by me, Nagi — a self-taught developer who ships iOS apps and does hands-on technology work for homes and small businesses. The person who scopes the job is the person who builds it and the person who follows up afterward. I also run a retail storefront of my own, which means the business side of this work isn't theoretical either — I've built and maintained the same stack on my own floor.
